Vintage LS Signed Sterling Silver and Turquoise Navajo Thunderbird Brooch

Beautifully and intricately hand crafted stamped sterling silver thunderbird brooch with a turquoise cabochon and repousse ovals on either side. Signed by Navajo artist Larry Sandoval with hallmark LS on reverse. Measures 2 1/2 inches across and 1 inch high, and has been recently carefully cleaned. The thunderbird is an important symbol in Navajo culture representing immense power, renewal, protection, and connection to the spiritual world.
