Vintage Shawnee Pottery Swan Planters Pastel

Beautiful pair of vintage Shawnee Pottery swan planters These sweet swans are painted as a male and female set When they are facing each other, their heads and necks look like a heart The male has a slight crest on his head, with a blue body and pink chest and the female has a pink body and blue chest Founded in 1937, the Shawnee Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio was well known for its figural salt-and-pepper shakers, whimsical cookie jars and brightly painted small planters like these These swans are glazed pottery pieces They stand about 7 1/4” tall If you look closely on the bottom of the female, you can see the original handwritten price from when they were sold in an old general store (photos 8-9) They are in nice vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, there is a small closed hairline on the tail of the female which appears to be a factory inclusion (photo 13) Items are carefully packed in tissue paper, bubble wrap and/or newsprint for secure shipping Please see all photos as part of the description BxM 1/16/26
