This piece of folk art is made using oil paint on wood. Originated in Norway Rosemaling is characterized by flowing lines, imaginative and fanciful flowers, and subtle colors. Deep steel blue background with brown, reddish brown, yellow and blue flowers. Reddish brown rim and yellow psalms on perimeter: “The Lord bless & keep you; make his face shine upon you & be gracious to you; the Lord turns his face to you & give you peace.” The material is wooden and this piece of art is light in weight. There is metal hook at the back for hanging. Diameter 14-1/4” It is in great condition, with one minor scratch on the back and very tiny scratch on front- see last 2 pictures.
