MCM Carved black onyx jaguar sculpture

This vintage prowling jaguar is carved from stone (I believe black onyx). Natural variation in the stone is visible through the body of the jaguar and the tail - see photos. It is in excellent vintage condition. The only damage I can see is that one of the bottom canines seems to have broken off. The mineral variation around the base of the tail could be a weak point if damaged. It is 15” long and weights 4.5lbs! It’s a really striking decor piece.
