Story Behind the Shoe The design is based on the original sketches by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield for the Air Jordan 3, which included a Nike Swoosh on the side, a feature not present in the final original release of the shoe. This design is notable because the Air Jordan 3 was the shoe that convinced Michael Jordan to stay with Nike when he was considering signing with Adidas.  Release Information Release Date: The shoes were released on March 24, 2018, at select retailers and April 30th at most other locations.
