Vintage Persian Lamb Jacket w/ Fur Collar | Circa 1960 | Restyled Bomber

Vintage Persian lamb (astrakhan) jacket, originally purchased in the early 1960s from a fur salon in Midtown Manhattan. This piece was bought by my father for my mother on their 25th wedding anniversary and has been carefully stored for decades. In 1990, the jacket was professionally restyled into a bomber-style silhouette, and the interior lining was replaced at that time. It has been worn only once since the restyle and stored in a temperature-controlled “cold closet” with other fur garments. The Persian lamb remains supple with tight, even curl throughout. There is minimal wear at the front pocket areas, consistent with age. Underarm areas are in very nice condition with no major wear or damage noted. The fur collar is plush and well preserved; it appears to be silver fox, though I cannot confirm definitively. Please refer to photos for condition and texture.
