Vintage Tiffin Burmese Lacquered Food Carrier 4 pieces circa 1950

Circa 1950s Burmese lacquerware Thone Sint Gyite food carrier, (tiffin carrier) is 11" high and 8" diameter. It is in ebony lacquer over a woven bamboo substrate. The ebony look is achieved through many layers of black lacquer sap from the Melanorrhoea usitata tree. The ivory coloured applied decoration has a 1" piece missing from the handle.
