Roll-Rite Clear Glass Rolling Pin
Metal cap with a cork lining in the cap.
14" long
Imagine a small 1950s kitchen early on a Sunday morning — flour on the counter, the radio playing softly, and a warm apple pie chilling on the windowsill. This vintage Rol-Rite clear glass rolling pin feels like it came straight from that moment in time. Circa 1950s–early 1960s, this piece features the original Good Housekeeping Institute approval seal on the end cap, a trusted mark of quality in mid-century American homes.
Inside is the original nostalgic insert card, a true time capsule from the era. One side shows a cheerful apron-clad homemaker — reminiscent of Alice from The Honeymooners with a hint of Trixie’s playful hairstyle — holding the rolling pin beside the slogan, “For Better and Flakier Pie Crust.” Turn it over and you’ll find the charming original Cherry Chiffon Pie recipe, the kind you can easily imagine being clipped, saved, and passed down through generations. The card slides out and would look beautiful framed in a kitchen or baking nook. A wonderful collectible for vintage kitchenware.
Condition: never used but reflects age as it has tarnish on the metal ends, with surface scratches from decades of storage and handling, and the original paper shows expected wear with small tears and natural browning. None of this takes away from the piece — it only adds to the authenticity and nostalgic appeal. Includes the original cloth wrap.
