He escaped from Hungary during the revolution in 1956, and traveled to Austria then to Ontario, Canada. In 1964, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to enjoy the warmer climate which allowed him to paint outdoors throughout the year. The outdoors was his studio, and John enjoyed the beauty of nature as seen in his works. He moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 1971 where he fell in love with the ever-changing moods of the ocean. Here he became well known and loved both as a teacher and an artist. His art hangs in Austria, Germany, Holland, Hungary, and throughout the United States from the East Coast to the West Coast. He died in 1994 in Atlanta, GA.
