Ralph Lauren paratrooper varsity jacket 5th falcons 067 usrl leather wool

Rare Polo Ralph Lauren varsity jacket featuring an extensive U.S. Paratrooper / Flight Squadron–inspired design, executed in heavyweight wool with full cowhide leather sleeves. This is one of Ralph Lauren’s most collectible military-themed varsity jackets, produced in limited quantities and never part of the standard Polo lineup. The jacket showcases a large “PARATROOPERS – 067 USRL – Flight Squadron” chenille back patch, paired with detailed front embroidery including the 5th Falcons insignia and a parachute crest marked “USRL 802D CAPT.” The leather sleeves are purposefully aged with pre-creases near elbow. Finished with tattoo-style artwork, featuring printed paratrooper, squadron, and aviation-inspired graphics that mimic hand-inked military tattoos. This detail gives the jacket a custom, lived-in, archival feel and sets it apart from standard varsity releases. Classic varsity construction with ribbed striped collar, cuffs, and hem, snap-button front closure, and contrast leather-trimmed hand pockets. Interior features Polo Ralph Lauren branding and fully lined construction. This piece reflects Ralph Lauren’s long-standing fascination with American military history and aviation, blending authentic insignia aesthetics with luxury materials and statement-level design.
