One of the most iconic and recognizable shells in the Caribbean and Florida.
Glossy Pink Interior: The most striking feature is the smooth, polished, and deep rose-pink aperture (the opening). In some specimens, this can lean toward orange or yellow.
Heavy Spines: You can see the thick, knob-like spines around the "shoulder" or spire of the shell. These help protect the snail from predators like crabs and octopuses.
Sandy Exterior: The outside of the shell is naturally a rough, sandy-tan color, which acts as camouflage when the conch is living in seagrass beds or on sandy ocean floors.
Flaring Lip: In adult Queen Conchs, the outer edge of the shell flares out into a thick, wide "lip." Based on the photo, your shell appears to be a mature adult because of this developed structure.
Weighs 2.6 pounds
