VICTORIAN ORNATE BRASS BROOCH WITH PIERCED DANGLE EARRINGS

The title of this lovely set pretty much describes what you see in the photos. The piece features a top bar with textured, engraved leaf motifs, which often symbolized fidelity and enduring love in Victorian symbolism. Suspended from this bar by delicate chains is an oval drop containing a smooth, in cabochon-style, oval brass shape. The fringe of five pointed, spearhead-shaped drops, hangs from the bottom of the central oval section, an intricate design element popular for its movement. The back features an antique-style T-hinge and a C-clasp closure, consistent with 19th-century construction.
