Navajo Horsehair Ceramic Spirit Bison An authentic Southwest ceramic piece using traditional methods of burning real horse-hair onto the Pottery, adding hand etchings of various symbols, and the Turquoise Bead. An artistic license is taken with the interpretation of the various forms. This particular ceramic piece represents the Bison as a spirit animal. Various Native American design motifs are etched onto the ceramic surface. In this case, there is a hummingbird, including a turquoise bead. Also seems to be signed but it's not clear as to who the artist is. There are signs of wear on the surface and an unfortunate chip on the bottom. Please see pictures for details.
