Hand-crafted Sterling Silver Guru Rinpoche Tibetan Buddhist Amulet/Rope Chain - this large pendant depicts Guru Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche), a highly venerated figure in Tibetan Himalayan Buddhism, referred to as the "second Buddha". Padmasambhava helped to establish Buddhism in Tibet in the 8th Century, and these pendants are considered protective amulets. The figure is seated and holding a staff, a common depiction in Tibetan and Nepalese silver amulets. This item is vintage hand-made in sterling silver with proof mark and is of hollow construction with nice depth. The amulet is strung on a high-quality, sterling silver rope chain measuring approx 27.5" hallmarked "925" "ITALY". The pendant measures approx 32mm at widest point x 42mm high including bale. This beautiful amulet is very tactile and comfortable to wear, and weighs 26 grams of Sterling Silver.
