Y2K Marc Jacobs Original Fall 2005 Stam Bag in Chocolate Brown

First seen on the Fall/Winter 2005 runway, the Stam quickly became one of the most popular bags during the early 2000s. Made by Italian artisans, it includes a removable chain shoulder strap, a luxe lamb leather exterior, the famous kiss lock closure at top, and an allover oversized quilted design. It also includes an exterior zipper pocket and one interior zipper pocket for extra organization. They literally do not make them like this anymore - the interior of this bag is a beautiful suede and the hardware is real brass - the new re-editions use a cloth lining & plated zinc hardware. --Features-- Made in Italy Lamb leather Metal frame with kiss lock closure Removable shoulder chain strap 1 exterior zipper pocket, 1 interior zipper pocket Red suede lining Dust bag from the RealReal included **NOTE: this bag has had a repair - when I purchased it the hinge was missing its hinge rivet, as you can see from the pictures I had a new brass hinge rivet installed by a local hardware store. The kisslock pops open sometimes if the bag is over-stuffed. The hardware is coated brass - there is wear on the kisslock showing the brass underneath (she's 21 years old folks, give her some grace to have flaws). The bag has been cleaned inside & out and the exterior has been cared for/ rehydrated with leather conditioner & stored in a cool dry place away from sunlight. She's ready for her next 20 years!
