Simon Pearce was born in London and moved to Ireland at age 4 where his family started a pottery studio. Pearce mastered pottery but decided to travel the globe and learn how to make high quality glassware from some of the world’s masters. He opened his first glass studio in Ireland but was eventually disenchanted with all the government interference so he relocated to Vermont in 1981. For over 40 years, Simon Pearce has been producing the finest quality lead-free crystal glassware in the United States. Pearce creations have been given as gifts to visiting foreign dignitaries as well as to presenters at the Academy Awards. This is the Large Highgate Heart Votive and is no longer available on the Simon Pearce website. It measures approximately 5 inches long by 4 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches thick. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The original Simon Pearce label is still attached (see photo) and the Simon Pearce logo is acid-etched on the side just below the rim (see photo).
