In excellent vintage condition with no flaws or wear- Vintage Japanese Imari style porcelain heart shaped trinket box with lid. Featuring distinctive red, green, gold and dark navy colors which are the Imari style characteristics. Imari ware originated in the town of Arita, Hizen Providence, Japan. The lid features Japanese motifs featuring a phoenix bird and carriage, surrounded by an intricate detailed border trim. The bottom mimics the same hand painted designs as the lid but with smaller details and borders in between. The very bottom of this trinket box has scalloped edges making this a one of a kind vintage piece for any collection. Measures 5.25 inches length x 5 inches width x 2 inches depth. Gift ready.
