greyshelter This is a very handsome pack and an ideal size for day hikes, however I’m quite concerned about the bottom panel wear if you say you used it only once. A multi-day trip? Very rough country? Defective manufacture? I wonder greatly. The Swedes usually make very durable products. I’ve owned SAABs and Husquavarna and Silva compasses.

greyshelter @herarizona Thanks for your message and revised description. Judging by your thumbnail photo, I can well see that it served in rough country and so some of my apprehension is mollified. I will keep an eye on it for some few days. Still too cold and snowy here in New England for day hikes, but spring is slowly coming.
