It is the thrill of the hunt that ignites my creative inspiration for the “Spirit Keeper" series. Shelley Rapp Evans has collected exotic fabrics from all over the world as well as found objects, vintage buttons, copper, leather and old trade beads. As the variety of the treasures change, so does the work. Traveling is also a passion that goes along with the creating, so taking a trip to look for textiles is another source of excitement and inspiration for my work. She enjoys experiencing different cultures and adding bits of this experience into each piece. She wants her work to be a global mix of visual colors and textures with the feel of an old primitive museum relic. These are two mixed media artwork originals. One is: 9 X 12 and matted 15” X 13” The other is: 10” X 18” and matted 18” X 12” There is actual textiles used on each piece and they are truly unique. New and Sealed.
