I've had this ring in a vault for approximately 20 years. This opal has flashes of every color of the rainbow including purple, which is the rarest color within opal! The ring has been photographed in various light sources to show the variations in the "blue" of the stone, but the extraordinary flashes of color show in any source. The photos have not been altered or enhanced. I've merely changed angles and intensities of the light sources.
