The bowl appears to the eye, to be oval shaped. In reality, the edges are nearly the same in measurement as seen in photos and below. One set of opposing sides is "elongated" (slightly higher than the other pair of edges. The piece is also footed. * Decorative bowl - should not be used for food consumption * Diameter 8.25'' / 7.75'' * Height (approx) 2.75'' / 3'' * Weight - 1 lb. 1.3 oz.
