Made from a 100% linen fabric in light pink, this skirt is fully adjustable via ties to fit any size between a 24 - 29 inch waist. This skirt was custom made for me. I am 5 foot 3 and have a 27 inch waist. This skirt is 40 inches long. It’s length is designed to be worn over panniers. The skirt is tied with two cotton ribbon ties one for the back pannel and the other for the front panel in the same way it would have been worn in the 18th century. The front two ribbons wrap around your waist and tie at the back, while the back two ribbons warp around your waist and tie at the front. You can either tuck in these ties into the skirt or simply wrap the ties over the skirt waistline to add extra support for holding the skirt in place before lacing up your corset over the waistline. Very versatile piece, the slits at the ribbons overlap once the skirt is properly tied and historically, they would have been meant to serve as accessible slits if you wanted to wear a pocket harness beneath the skirt. This skirt is designed so it can be worn with small to medium sized panniers to give the 18th century silhouette.
