Brooches are back in style for all your winter blazers, coats, capes, vests and trenches! I guarantee nobody else will have this stunner from the 1950s.
Elegant arrangement of green opalescent cabochon stones and clear faceted rhinestones, set in a silver-toned metal (most likely pot metal). Elongated oval shape and intricate design evoke the classic aesthetic of mid-century costume jewelry.
In photos and in person it looks like something that came from the store with pretty light blue boxes. It’s costume jewelry crafted in a time when even the affordable stuff was well made and meant to last.
The pin housing works and stays secure.
Measures 2.75” wide x 1.5” tall x just shy of 1/2” deep. How the pin lies on the back, the brooch is designed to be fastened horizontally.
The larger, smooth cabochons provide a soft, milky green hue, a pale light greenish-blue that can also look blueish-green depending on the background. The complementary sparkle of the smaller rhinestones makes this a distinctive decorative accessory.
Good vintage condition- stones are intact with minor surface wear and metal shows age appropriate patination.
