Antique 19th Century Wedgwood Etruria 'Garland' Kate Greenaway 10.25" Plate

Antique Wedgwood 'Garland' plate-extremely rare! This plate features a beautiful multicolor 'Garland' pattern, showcasing the artistry of Kate Greenaway, a famous Victorian artist that Wedgwood featured on some of their plates. The design is from a Wedgwood tile series, which depicts English children at play, and this is one of the plates from a series of twelve. The plate has both the impressed "Wedgwood" mark as well as a Wedgwood Etruria England and is numbered. It's an antique from about 1850-1899 (1879 based on the 3 letters impressed on back). This plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or visible crazing-slight crazing can be seen with magnification. A great addition to any Wedgwood collection. # 5454
