RARE Dooney & Bourke Vintage *Green Label* Cabriolet Purse

This is a gorgeous very rare Green Label Vintage Dooney & Bourke bag (1983 - 1984), featuring a dark brown canvas body with tan leather trim and an all-leather interior! While I purchased it pre-loved, the purse is in great shape and seems like it was not used much. - 11” long x 7” tall x 2” deep - This early Green Label Dooney model has leather lining inside - Quality YKK zipper pulls on both main compartment and inner pocket - The dark brown canvas, leather, and green label are in fantastic shape for a 40-year old purse! - Does not include strap or fob This particular style seems to be a Cabriolet Tote and combines durable canvas material with the brand's signature high-quality leather accents. It is possible this bag was a prototype bag. It was made before D&B introduced their All-Weather Leather (AWL). The first sewn-in tags (1983-1984) were fairly large green rectangles sewn flat into the bag with “DOONEY & BOURKE - MADE in USA” and the DB logo in red. This bag could be used as a clutch, a zip-top organizer inside a larger tote, or restored by adding a replacement strap and fob.
