This has no stains. it has been washed a lot. Due to that the shag has matted together. After I wash it, I vacuum which breaks up the matting. It smells good like it was just taken out of the wash. so if you purchase this be aware this is not brand new and fluffy. This particular rug on the site is like $300 just for the cover.
