Vintage 1940s Hat, Black Plate Hat with Faux Pearls, Millinery

Stunning vintage hat from the 1940s. The perfect shape for lower updos or your 1940s curls as it has more of a brim towards the front. Has two pretty faux pearl and bead embellishments at either temple. It is lined inside with black mesh. There are no designer labels precisely but there is a small tag that says ADJ. I've been unable to discover what this is. Measures about 22.5" round the inside. The hat itself is about 11" in diameter. Excellent vintage condition. It was not stored well prior to coming to me so its maybe a little squashed and has some fluffies stuck to it. I've been steaming it gently and that's helping. A bit of the mesh lining has some holes. Please note: These are vintage, preworn and/or preloved items.
