Vintage navy Chalk Line coach jacket featuring the classic Mack Trucks âThe Greatest Name in Trucksâ bulldog logo printed in white on the chest. Snap-front closure, slash pockets, and drawcord hem. Tagged Chalk Line / Made in U.S.A. / Size L â true mid-1980s construction with crisp nylon shell and soft tricot lining.
This piece comes directly from the wardrobe holdings of Costume Rentals Corporation (CRC) â one of Hollywoodâs most respected wardrobe houses, operating from 1976 until its closure in 2025. CRCâs Automotive & Trades division specialized in workwear and branded outerwear for film and television productions requiring mechanics, truckers, or industrial settings.
While its specific production use canât be confirmed, CRC-stocked Mack-branded Chalk Line jackets appeared throughout 1980s-1990s film and TV â consistent with wardrobe seen in Smokey and the Bandit II, Convoy, Over the Top, CHiPs, and various CBS/ABC dramas featuring truck-stop or highway scenes.
