The hamsa is shaped like an open hand and features two birds on either side of a Star of David
The center of the star contains the Hebrew letter “heh” which is a shortened version of God’s name and the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet
It is used as an amulet to ward off the evil eye and bring good luck
