The lining is made Papiro di Firenze, a craftsmanship specific to Florence, Italy 9.5 in long 9 inches wide The good news for you is if you don't like the necklace as a handle you can buy a different strap. Or use a scarf. But this bag is thick pebbled leather and in amazing shape!
