lost_coachman @hiteben7 if so they are extremely light. I’ve tried to capture it the best I’m able. I kept the worn one. This one has seen little use.

clgoogl @derekmalone thx. What's the wt on the tin cloth? You mentioned it's Heavy Tin, which was used in a few Filson items. It's thicker than regular tin.

lost_coachman @clgoogl you’re welcome. It’s not the newer, lighter (in my opinion) tin cloth, it’s not waxed feather cloth or cover cloth either.

lost_coachman @clgoogl I don’t think it’s the super thick cloth they used like you said. I had a duster that stood on its own made outta that stuff. That’d make for an uncomfortable hat.

clgoogl @derekmalone I've checked the style number it's 12.5 oz tin cloth. Very good balance of durability and wearability. You're right, a Heavy Tin hat would be a bad choice. I have two of these very hats (otter and tan). Am looking for another for my brother, but will need to check if a large will fit. The FILSON embossed on the leather strap is a very nice touch. Mine don't have it.
