Size: 10.5 (men’s) The Black Spitfire is a type of leather which is produced in the SB Foot Tannery. The Spitfire leather is a rough-out leather type which is heavily waxed. The combination of the wax and the reversed rough out leather guarantees a beautiful worn look over time. The Blacksmith 2955 is standing on top of a Vibram 430 Mini-lug sole for optimal grip and is featured with bronze eyelets and speed hooks. Some light wear on the bottom of the heels. Otherwise like new tread. Leather is lightly pre-worn in some spots such as the inner ankle as shown in the photos. Tongues are broken in for comfort and soft formed to the laces. This boot is no longer made by Red Wing and is out of circulation.

gilkies @diegs174 hello! So sorry, but I’m not sure what you mean. Are you referring to the loop that’s on some boot tongues you can lace through? Or something else?

diegs174 @gilkies sorry, I should clarify. A way to identify if a pair of red wing boots are factory seconds (unable to be repaired through red wing) is through a small perforation on one of the boot tongues. Essentially want to make sure I can take these in should I find they need to be resoled.
