This vintage piece is perfect to add to your Serling Colonial collection. It is white porcelain. The rim is slightly raised and is slightly scalloped. The Serling Colonial design is around the rim of the piece. The platter measures approximately 12” x 9 ½”. There are no chips, cracks and/or stains anywhere on this vintage platter. It is in excellent condition. {J. & G. Meakin was an English pottery manufacturing company founded in 1851[1] and based in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. In the 19th century, J. & G. Meakin was known for the vast quantities of cheap ironstone china it produced for the domestic English market and for export to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. From around 1970, designs included Liberty, Sterling, Trend, Classic and Heirloom. J & G Meakin had close family and corporate affiliations to the potteries Johnson Brothers, and Alfred Meakin Ltd, which explains why many patterns are similar, if not almost exactly the same.} The item in the photos is the item you will receive.
