poshigh do you have any additional information on this locket, e.g. era, set-up, intended use, also is the locket itself, strong enough to hold the clasp shut for every day use and is it functional enough to keep valuable pictures inside or give as a meaningful present so that it won’t fall apart after somewhere and tear

lizmifflin @poshigh I am not sure of it’s origins and though it was used for everyday wear at one time, I would not recommend it now. The clasp doesn’t hold shut. My recommendation would be to use in a trinket display as a conversation piece. I apologize that I can’t be more helpful.
