Vintage piece in great condition. Thick, sturdy chain - silver plated - measures approximately 16”. Hook + pendant measure approximately 1.5" total. Round, turquoise sterling silver pendant is 1" x 1" round, made in Mexico and stamped on back .925. Pendant has waves, sails and seagull images in silver within the turquoise background.

disneyandmore4u Is the chain sterling silver as well?

valmarp @disneygurl2u I took a closer look to see if there was any stamping (like .925) on the chain or O-hook of the chain, but I don’t see any. I think the chain is probably sterling like the pendant as it’s heavy/substantial, (and cleans up nicely in the silver jewelry cleaner), but I can’t say for certain without a stamp or marking on it. I hope this helps in some way.

valmarp @disneygurl2u Great idea to check with a magnet! (I just learned something new.😊) So, the chain is IS magnetic so it’s probably not sterling silver, but more likely silver-plated. The turquoise and silver pendant is definitely sterling silver though, and is stamped .925. Thank you for having me check regarding the chain. Great idea! I hope this helps.

disneyandmore4u @valmarp thanks for checking. Yes, checking with a magnet is always a good idea. However it only determines the metal is either plated or a mixture of metals. Stainless steel and brass is also non magnetic. Thanks so much for checking. 😊
