@suzik21 Appologies just saw this. I believe so since I was given this leash as an option for a 44 lb dog picked out by the pet store. They generally are a range of 25 lbs I believe . I'm only selling this since I bought a new one combined with a harness since I live in a heavily trafficked area. I worry about my dogs like they are kids...Have a great day!

@mcata45 I think a leather leash is better for 50lbs and more. I have one left Thunder Leash. I know those are 50 to 75lbs. Thanks...
