Beautiful vintage Aurora Borealis crystal bead necklace. Has a shimmering iridescent effect that reflects multiple colors when the light hits it. This Aurora Borealis finish was applied to the beads to create a rainbow like effect. The design was patented by Swarovski in collaboration with Christian Dior in 1956. This necklace was made in the 1950s or 1960s. Single strand necklace with ornate gold tone clasp. Graduated small to larger beads. The largest diameter bead at the bottom is 1/2 inch. The length closed is approx 14 inches. Excellent condition.
