Vintage Chinese Porcelain Mille Fleurs Tea Pot

Classic Chinese Thousand Flowers (mille fleur) enamelware teapot with lid. This large porcelain teapot is carefully hand-decorated with gold and brightly colored flowers and symbolic asian fruits, including peach, Buddha's hand, or finger lemon, tangerine, pomegranate, and purple grapes. The design features "Greek Key" bands, known as Meander, or Cloud and Thunder pattern (Yunwen and Leiwen) around both the edge of the lid and pot. The inside is shiny white porcelain and features a built-in strainer. Backstamp reads Zhongguo Zhi Zao, indicating made in China. This piece is most likely 1970s - 1980s.
