Alaïa Cling Dress with Pleated Hem in Rare Colourway, S/S 1990 $400

Fishtail hem with a deep V to the front and back of the dress, designed with Alaïa’s era defining body sculpting knit and fluted hem details. Bought from the ‘King of Cling’ himself at the Azzadine Alaïa boutique on Rue du Parc-Royal in Paris by my Aunty, who has taken beautiful care of it since. This olive tone brown colourway I am selling is a boutique exclusive and very rare. The dress is in exceptional condition; the only damage is some slight discolouration at the bottom of the arm holes- please see photos! You can’t see this when it’s being worn because of the snug fit. The dress is shown here in a berry red colour way worn by Karen Alexander in the Alaïa Spring 1990 campaign (see second to last pic). The exact dress I’m selling then heavily inspired the khaki green bandage dress from the legendary McQueen 2006 show ‘Neptune’ (see last pic).
