Much like Nike's Flyknit, the Roshe Run's design has proven to be highly effective. The Phylon midsole offers padding, while the mesh upper is light and breathable. The sneaker's simplicity allows for bold experimentation with color combinations on a mid-top sneakerboot, and become a go-to sneaker for casual comfort.
The Roshe Run was discontinued in 2014, and are still sought out today in good condition. This pair more than meets that need, in the even more rare 10 1/2 size. The Atomic Red is actually a dark coral color, but atomic red sounds much cooler!
Designed by Dylan Raasch, who is now the Senior Design Director at Nike, the Roshe was inspired by the Japanese Buddhist masters, who are given the title of Roshi, meaning: “the spiritual leader of a community of Zen Buddhist monks”. Initially developed in 2010, it took two years for the sneaker to be finalized.
