These earrings are marked VanDell 12K GF.
VanDell manufactured these circa 1940. Known for high-quality costume jewelry....primarily using synthetic materials and occasionally real gemstones. VanDell is highly collectible due to craftsmanship and design. I do not know if these are real opal but the oval is 10x12mm.
The backs are open, so the light plays beautifully on these gorgeous earrings. Feel free to make an offer
