Antique trinket box was made in China but was purchased in Japan

This belonged to my mother-in-law. She bought this when my father-in-law was in the US Navy and was stationed in Japan. This trinket box is well over 50 years old. This price is dropped for the Christmas Season. This would make a great Christmas gift for someone that loves collecting antiques.
