VINTAGE MAGI-CRAFT 2 slice chrome toaster with clip-on warming tray and brush, possibly 1950’s era . I think the tray was used to melt or soften butter for the toasted bread. The wood handle on the warming tray is missing some of the finish. The toaster has black Bakelite (?) handles and trim. The ejection mechanism works and there is a dial to select level darkness of the toaster. Not sure the function of the little lever to the side . Wondering if it could be to eject bread before it pops up ???The crumb tray has a lever to easily remove it from the bottom . The underside of the tray has some rust. The chrome on the body of the toaster is not perfect but is good considering the age. I think it would shine up nicely with chrome polish. The electric elements heat . Have attempted to capture the glow in a picture. The cord has no damage and is nearly 5’ long. Measures approx. 9" length not including handles x 5" wide x 7 1/2" tall. Made in the U.S.A. Manufactured by Son-Chief Electric Co., Winsted, Conn. A nice piece for the retro kitchen or vintage appliance collector.
