Vintage Antique Thos. E Wilson & Co. Red V-Neck Heavy Sweater Jumper Size unknown. Listing as small based on measurements Very rare, very old red heavy knit sweater. V-neck. Old Thos E Wilson tag. This sweater has been tucked away in drawer in over 100yr old cottage in Northern Wisconsin. No one really knows much about it. Likely was Grandpa’s sweater or possibly even Great Grandpa’s. It is old. For its age it is in amazing condition. Few pulls here and there. Couple holes. Very heavy-likely wool as it is itchy. Unable to find out much about it other than it is likely from early 1900’s-1920s Sweater does smell musty from being stored in drawer in old cottage. I do not dare wash it. There is variation in color of knit especially in back along top of shoulders. Absolutely fantastic. Can feel the old-school quality & history when you touch it. Very narrow & fitted guessing it was for a young man’s physique. Maybe from Grandpa’s private school days in suburban Chicago or naval academy? Wish grandparents were around to ask them more about it. If anyone has insight on this sweater-we’d love to hear it.
