Hi. This is a mid-weight fabric. Feels nice — 64% cotton, with polyester and polymide which makes it repel water if raining. On a warmer late spring day it can worn open and in late fall snapped up and layered with a sweater. It has that Eileen Fisher look — high quality fabric classic tailoring. Did you look for a silk scarf in my closet that you can pair with it? Happy shopping. Glad to answer any other questions.
