LOUIS VUITTON Damier Masai Large Wool Rug Blanket - RARE

Ultra rare 2012 Louis Vuitton blanket in the controversial Damier Masai pattern, purchased myself at LV store in Macau in 2012. This pattern became hugely controversial as LV was accused of appropriating the pattern worn by Maasai people in Africa and commercializing it. LV removed the entire line shortly thereafter and tried to bury the issue. This is a very large blanket, about 73 x 50 inch (!). Its hard to convey the size of this blanket but me standing next to it should help. The LV models in the images are NOT wearing the exact same blanket, but a much smaller scarf, however the material is the same and gives you an idea of the color and how the fabric flows. This blanket is MUCH larger than those scarves and best used as a picnic blanket or wall decoration. Each side has a different color pattern. Very thick fleece wool, gorgeous thread. I took it out ONCE and managed to put 1 small stain on it. There are also 2 tiny "holes" because I placed a Louis Vuitton pin brooch in it (don't ask). Otherwise perfect condition. Always kept locked away from sun and in climate controlled environment. You will probably never find another one like this. Unavailable very shortly after release, limited run, limited edition, highly controversial, few LV stores even had it. Measurements by hand, expect minor variances.All photos of the actual item.
