Rare, Mid Century Schafer & Vater Porcelain Singing Barber

This is a real collectors piece. Made in Germany. Unique humorous novelty ashtray, of a long headed character with a big old eye and a title that reads “Sweet Adeline”. This old chap was made to be an ashtray. When a cigarette is placed in the mouth or rested on the bottom lip the smoke emerges from his ears, giving a truly whimsical mid century experience. His collar is a match striker. 5 variations of this figure were made. The collection is known as Barber Shop singing Quartet. Check out my closet I have a couple more from this collection. This item is hard to find especially in such excellent condition. The condition is excellent because it’s never been used and no matches were ever struck on the collar.
