This is an authentic Kantha quilt purchased in India. It does have some normal wear, loose threads and discoloration as shown in pictures. Good vintage condition overall.
Kantha quilts are a traditional textile art form originating from the Indian subcontinent, particularly West Bengal and Bangladesh. They are made by layering old sarees or other pieces of cloth and stitching them together with a running stitch, creating a unique, textured piece of fabric. These quilts are known for their vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and soft comfortable feel of the recycled materials. Popular for their vintage and bohemian aesthetic. This in particular could also be nautical themed.
