Vintage Stratton 1970s Queen Convertible. "Aurora" blue Josiah Wedgwood jasperware compact, original box. This compact is a very attractive unused Stratton "Queen Convertible" in excellent, unused condition. The lid is very beautiful Wedgwood Jasperware. The whole compact is in superb condition & comes with the sifter & the original pochette. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. Convertible compacts can be used for both loose and solid powder. The annular inner lid is released by sliding the tiny button. Then loose powder can be placed under the sifter, or the sifter removed and pressed powder inserted, before closing the annular lid which holds either the sifter or pressed powder in place. This Stratton powder compact measures just over 3"' & weighs 99.7 grams. The gilding is very bright and shiny and the Wedgewood motif is immaculate. This comes in its original box.
