Avondale 1979 Mother Child “First Born” Cameo Plate By Frances Taylor Williams

This collector plate by Avondale features a beautiful blue cameo of a mother and child, titled "First Born" and signed by artist Frances Taylor Williams. This beautiful piece is an authentic Inoclay which means ‘in colored layers.’ Colored crushed stone is molded into a shape with a cameo stone on top. The blue marbled background showcases the high relief details of the mother, child, floral accents and decorative border. The theme of this sculpture centers around the precious relationship between mother and child. This is a vintage plate made in 1979 and part of a limited edition series, numbered 6142 and measures 10.25” diameter. Although creased with a torn area, the original colored label that gives info about the artist will be included. The plate is in excellent, preowned condition with no chips, breakage or damage.
